In terms of having a simplified approach to the game, the best way to handle that I feel is just straight-up have the intro decks listed in the core set. And play with the regular mechanics of the game don't change the way the game works to make it easier to teach. Teach the game the way it is, with the intro decks. This will allow for people who want the mechanics of the game to feel how they go and people will learn to like this version of the game or if they don't like it that's okay as well.
